Phase 2 COVID-19 Review Meeting Wednesday June 17th, 7:00PM
The College of Veterinarians of British Columbia would like to invite you to attend our Phase 2 COVID-19 Review Meeting, presented with the Society of BC Veterinarians (SBCV) Chapter. The meeting should provide you with current and reliable information on what registrants can be doing right now, and under what conditions.

This meeting is meant to hopefully answer registrants’ questions concerning practice operations during Phase 2 of the COVID-19 recovery plan and to help to relieve any confusion there may be in individual practices on what procedures should and should not be done. This meeting is voluntary; you are not required to attend.

This email contains everything you need to be able to attend our Phase 2 COVID-19 Review Meeting. We strongly recommend you read this entire email to avoid delays and problems on Wednesday, June 17 at 7:00 pm.

INSTRUCTIONS

We need to know who you are when you log in to Zoom, so if your display name shows up as someone else’s name, or the location of your computer, or your phone number, we will not know it is you. When you first log on, please take the opportunity to change your Zoom display name to your first and last name exactly as it appears on CVBC records. If you cannot change your display name, simply use the chat box in Zoom to type in your real name and we can easily match it to your display name.
The meeting will start promptly at 7:00 pm so please login a few minutes early to permit us to record attendance.

When you join, you are in a virtual waiting room. We admit you into the meeting just before we begin. If you are late, you may stay in the waiting room a moment or two before we see you and let you in. While you are in the waiting room, please remember to change your display name to your real first and last name.

Most people joining a Zoom meeting will have video and audio. We will automatically mute your audio. You control your video. If your camera is on, we – everyone – can see you.

If you have questions, we will use the RAISE HAND function. To access the raise hand function, you click on the participants link, then select RAISE HAND. When it is your turn, you will receive a message that says THE HOST WOULD LIKE YOU TO UNMUTE. Click on unmute and speak your question. We will mute you immediately after your question is finished to prepare the next person to ask their question.
We strongly recommend you review the ZOOM instruction sheet well before the meeting. If you wish, you can download ZOOM (highly recommended but not required) and become familiar with the platform prior to the meeting. Downloading ZOOM provides you with a better experience. If you do not download ZOOM, your browser experience might be limited.

Please click here for an easy to follow instructional PPT we have created to assist you in becoming familiar with Zoom. It should answer any of your technical questions.

We are looking forward to ‘seeing’ you on July 17 th !

Dr. Jane Pritchard
Interim Registrar
