VISIT CANTON COVID-19 TRAVEL SURVEY RESULTS
While nearly 85% of respondents have already canceled or postponed 2020 travel plans, 73.3% of survey respondents are still planning for some travel in 2020.

Only 23.7% indicated they are not or probably will not travel this year due to COVID-19, and over 43% indicated they have an increased desire to travel once it is safely allowed. According to the survey, the high point for travel in 2020 takes place in July (30.2%), August (31.6%), September (30.4%), and October (28.7%).

A few considerations impacting travel plans:
  • 51.1% will not attend crowded events or mass gatherings
  • 33.4% are looking for outdoor activities
  • 32.3% are staying closer to home
REOPENING RESOURCES
The American Hotel & Lodging Association has released guidelines for enhanced industry-wide hotel cleaning standards.




Ecolab has put together resources based on their own expertise, CDC, and WHO guidelines on how to safely resume operations in a COVID-19 era including; back of house, public areas, food service, gym and fitness areas, spa rooms childcare facility, and more.

The Ohio Department of Health has outlined plans for "Responsible RestartOhio". Consumer, Retail and Services sector businesses may open on May 12.
