LOCAL GRANT OPPORTUNITIES & UPDATES TO GUIDELINES
PLAIN TOWNSHIP SMALL BUSINESS GRANTS

As a part of the COVID CARES Act, Plain Township can provide township businesses with grants for COVID related authorized expenditures. Call to speak with Administrator Lisa Campbell at 330-492-4689 or lcampbell@plaintownship.com.

CITY OF CANTON SMALL BUSINESS GRANTS

The City of Canton released a new round of small business grants to further assist small businesses impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, providing each selected business with up to a $10,000 grant to address their pandemic related needs. Apply online.

JACKSON TOWNSHIP TENT FEES WAIVED

Jackson Township Trustees are waiving permit fees for tents outside of restaurants to extend the outdoor dining season.

OHIO RESTAURANT CAPACITIES INCREASED

A revised Dine-Safe order now allows restaurants and bars to set their venue capacity based on ability to keep customers socially distanced.

OHIO SPORTS COMPETITION RULE CHANGE

An amended Sports Order removed the one-game per day restriction on sports competitions and clears an obstacle for sports tournaments scheduled in Stark County.

SEPTEMBER 21 - DECEMBER 18, 2020
Starting on September 21st, the top graded players that were released from NFL training camps will have the opportunity to further develop their skills under the tutelage of elite former NFL coaches, players and performance coaches. In conjunction with the NFL season, top talent will reside and train in Canton, working to fulfill their dreams of playing in the NFL.
