The new buses ARE HERE!
Master Management, which provides all the bus transportation in the Village, has taken delivery of the first bus that is part of a new and improved fleet hitting the boulevard.

The new buses are easier and safer than the current fleet. All buses will "kneel" for passengers. Every time the door opens, the bus will drop down to make the first step lower to the ground.

In addition, the new buses will have improved lifts that can accommodate more weight. They will lift scooters in addition to wheelchairs.

The first of the fleet was in the village last week for a test drive. The new buses are expected to be on the road next month.
SW 10th Street Cleanup
As part of Master Management's "Caring Beyond the Gates" public service campaign
Master Management employees will be volunteering time later this month to clean up trash on SW 10th Street. They will focus on the areas in front of Farnham, Hardwood, and Newport.

Last month Master Management employees went beyond the gates to clean up Military Trail.

The "Caring Beyond the Gates" campaign is Master Management's commitment to improve the areas around the Village. Safeguarding residents' quality of life involves more than maintaining the Village itself. Master Management believes improving property values and public safety is a commitment that extends beyond the Village gates.

SLOW DOWN!
Additional Broward Sheriff's Office deputies have been in the Village, and unfortunately they have been VERY busy!

If you are ticketed for speeding in the Village, IT IS A REAL TICKET! That means a hefty fine, points on your license, a possible hike in your insurance, and the possibility of a county court date!

Don't endanger your neighbors and yourself:

SLOW DOWN!
Don't become a victim
Several residents have reported being the target of a new scam making the rounds.

If you receive a text claiming to be from Amazon, and asking for you to transfer money using Zelle, DON'T DO IT!

Scams are increasing and older adults are often the target.

See below for some tips to prevent becoming a victim.
  • Be extra cautious with unsolicited calls, emails, and texts. Don't be quick to believe claims from unsolicited communications.

  • Understand how businesses handle communications. If you know how disputes and suspicious activity is handled, it will be easier to spot a scam. For example, PayPal clearly states that it will never send you an email asking you for sensitive information like your password or ask you to download attachments or software.

  • Look into the claims. Don't take action without first verifying the claims. Log into your account or look up the company's official phone number (check your bill or welcome email) and call them to confirm that there really is a case of suspicious activity associated with your account before you decide what to do.

  • Don't panic and don't feel intimidated. Scammers want you to panic. They may use intimidation tactics to pressure you into giving up your personal information or making payments. Legitimate businesses will not intimidate you in this way. Stay calm and think things through before you act.

  • Never give your personal information to strangers. If you aren't speaking or corresponding with someone you know and trust, don't give them sensitive information.
Master Management wants to thank the leaders of Lyndhurst A for their willingness to work together for the mutual benefit of their residents. Lyndhurst A and Master Management were able to collaborate on a plan to build a new path that involved property owned by both organizations. Good things happen when we work together!
Hey! We're 39 this month!

Message from the Executive Director
East Gate Right Turn Lane Update
This month we begin work on the right turn lane from Military Trail into the East Gate.

While the work is not expected to last long, while it is underway you can expect some detours in the area. As long as mother nature cooperates, the work is scheduled to begin on April 18th and end in mid-May.

If you are driving south on Military Trail approaching the entrance, please be aware the right lane will be closed during the construction. While we are planning to keep the East Gate open as much as possible, keep an eye out for email alerts announcing when the entrance will be closed.

When that happens, please head to one of the other entrances. With the addition of the resident-only lane at the West Gate, delays are usually down to zero as you enter.

Be well. Stay Safe.
