To support our ongoing commitment to accurate, reliable, and verifiable listing data, CVR MLS requires that any listing using a non-tax source for square footage include a supplement that clearly supports—and matches—the reported figures.

CVR MLS Rules allow a wide range of acceptable supplements, including appraisal reports*, floor plans, sketches, and similar documentation. Please consult your broker for guidance on preferred sources of square footage.

Before activating a listing, verify that all square footage fields are complete and accurate. We’ve recently seen an increase in active listings displaying “0” above-grade square feet, which can negatively impact search results and listing visibility.

*If using an appraisal report, do not upload the full document. Provide only the redacted page showing the square footage.

All historical residential listings in CVR MLS now include square footage data in the Total Finished Area and $/Total Finished Area fields, providing more complete and accurate property records.



These fields are also now available in both Quick CMAs and full CMAs for all CVR MLS listings.

Tiered Fines – CVR MLS has implemented a new tiered fine structure to better align compliance fines with the specific types of violations, particularly those involving correctable data points or listing details.  

Coming Soon – Coming Soon rules have been clarified to support listing data accuracy, including a shortened timeframe for relisting a property previously in Coming Soon status.  

Updates are coming to TransactionDesk, which will transition to Transact in the future.
