Climate Week in Yeosu will start next week and we are looking forward to fruitful sessions and exchanges!

 

Don't miss out on the event on financing implementation of the Belém Gender Action Plan at the national level to learn about funding windows, readiness support, and tailored opportunities for gender-responsive climate finance offered by the climate funds and multilateral development banks, as well as private sector finance for gender-responsive climate action and innovative finance solutions.


The workshop can also be followed virtually and will be broadcast live for those interested in following without active participation. 

 

We also encourage you to join the 5th dialogue under the UAE Just Transition Work Programme and the Implementation Forum to learn more about implementable solutions for ambitious climate action.

Registration is open for our information session on what to expect on gender and climate change at the 64th session of the Subsidiary Bodies (SB64). The session will take place on May 19th online.

Call for Submissions on Climate Change and Gender Responsive Finance

Open call for submission on climate change and gender-responsive finance! 🌱


The Belém GAP calls on Parties and relevant organizations to submit their experience in implementing gender-responsive financial instruments, methodologies, and available capacity-building in this regard to advance climate policies, plans, strategies and actions.


The submissions will inform a synthesis report that will be presented at COP 31 (2026).

The Santiago Network has launched a simplified funding process for community‑led technical assistance on climate‑related loss and damage, making support faster, more accessible, and community‑driven. 


This procedure supplements other financing options offered by the Santiago Network to provide communities with technical support. 


Community-driven technical help can support requirements like these through the streamlined funding process.

🌎 Call for Case Studies on Human Mobility in the Context of Climate Change

SLYCAN Trust, on behalf of GIZ’s Global Programme on Human Mobility in the Context of Climate Change (HMCCC), is organizing a virtual South-South Dialogue Series on gender-responsive and city-centric HMCCC approaches that aims to connect practitioners and policy makers that are working on HMCCC issues on the local level on how to manage HMCCC in urban areas, integrate the topic into national, regional and local processes, and exchange on good practices and lessons learned.
