Hello everyone,

Let's start with a huge thank you to all of you who tuned in last week to our Awards of Excellence broadcasts! From my co-hosts, to all the nominees and winners, the Award sponsors, the Sapphire sponsors, our wonderful media partners (shoutout to Boomer from The Grand at 101 for welcoming me to his morning show daily!), our volunteer committee & tech crew, and our audience that this year was able to extend to the far corners of Centre Wellington, Wellington County, and beyond ... thank you! Of course, we're already started planning discussions for next year, and look forward to bringing you year-round nominations - stay tuned!

Regarding the Rapid Screening Initiative, we recently had our first positive screen within a workplace. The result of the PCR test that followed was positive - meaning, the rapid screening was instrumental in preventing what could have become a workplace outbreak. We are pleased to be able to offer this important program to the businesses of Wellington County. If you have questions about the program, would like to access rapid screening kits, or learn more, click here.

As the businesses of Centre Wellington re-open, we want to highlight you all and encourage the community to Support Local. Please consider recording a very quick video here. We will create montages to share to social media, all about putting a face to the business!

Lastly, next week we are hosting Google My Business workshops. These have been popular in April and May, with businesses seeing immediate impact on their reach. Has your business not yet claimed your Google My Business listing? Do you know if you utilize your Google listing to its full capacity? Regardless of where you're at in this process, one of the Google My Business workshops will be helpful for you. Click here for more details.

... and, as we're about to hit send, an announcement came out about entering Step 2 next week, June 30. The full details are here and below, with the Roadmap to Reopening outlined here. This move is ahead of the anticipated schedule, and that is due to record-setting vaccine roll-out numbers as well as continued improvement in key public health and health care indicators. We are certainly hopeful that we continue to move in the right direction as we work through the reopening roadmap.

As always, if you have any questions, concerns, ideas, etc, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Stay safe everyone.
