Hello everyone,

Thanks to everyone who joined us yesterday for our first in-person Biz Breakfast since February 2020! Peter and Brian gave great presentations and The GrandWay events team were wonderful hosts! We are already looking forward to the November event - with a keynote panel presenting 40 Leadership Tips in 40 Minutes. Registration link is here!

Please consider participating in our Shop Local Marketing Campaign. The goal of this project is to amplify our reach and continue to spread the message of shop and support local - everything you need is right here in Wellington County. There are 3 ways to get involved, all free of charge:

  • Share the social media content! Build shop local posts into your social media calendar ... we've already created the content! Two toolkits are available to download here, with more coming. Use what you'd like, when you can, and don't forget to tag us!
  • Participate in the Shop Wellington County coupon book coming out in January. Limited space available and design work starts next week - submit coupon details here.
  • Get profiled! We are working on blog and social media business profiles. Submit details here, we'll write it up, and send for your approval before sharing.

There are a few other updates and important programs to let you know about this week...

  • The deadline for the Digital Main Street Grant has been extended to the end of November. This is a grant available to any bricks & mortar businesses. Click here to watch a Facebook Live event we did with the team from Business Centre Guelph Wellington about this.
  • I'd like to mention the Business Confidence Survey below. It's a quick 5 minute survey, and the anonymous results help us guide advocacy efforts that impact our local community, at the provincial level in partnership with the Ontario Chamber.
  • Rapid Screening Kits - yes, this program is still available! Whether it's your first order, or a re-order, you can place orders here for workplace rapid screening kits. A reminder for those who have kits on hand, please report your basic results here on a regular basis.
  • Digital Welcome Wagon - if making sure new residents of CW are aware of your business is important to you, consider participating in this program! The site is in its early launch phase, check it out here, and we are working on our campaign to reach new residents! Sign up to participate here with a coupon or awareness ad!
  • Registration for the 2022 26 Coffees Program, CWCC's year-long business-to-business networking program is now open! Register now, receive your schedule in December, ready to start connecting in January!
  • The ShredIt truck returns to our parking lot on November 10 - time to start sorting and purging!

Take the 2022 Business Confidence Survey
Send a message to Queen’s Park!

The Centre Wellington Chamber of Commerce and the Ontario Chamber of Commerce (OCC) are looking for your insights on what matters to business amidst the crisis and post-pandemic recovery. How confident are you in Ontario’s economy and recovery? What is your organization’s outlook for 2022?
As we work together on post-pandemic recovery, your participation in our annual Business Confidence Survey is as important as ever. The results of the survey will inform the 2022 Ontario Economic Report: the landmark research platform of the OCC, offering a unique perspective on the experience of businesses of all sizes across the province.

Share your views by taking a short five-minute survey here

This survey is being conducted by Golfdale Consulting, an independent consulting firm.
All responses will be kept strictly anonymous and confidential.
Closing date: Friday, November 12, 2021 at midnight

As we look towards economic recovery, the Centre Wellington Chamber of Commerce and the Ontario Chamber of Commerce are committed to ensuring government understands what is top of mind for the business community.
