I'd like to mention the Business Confidence Survey below. It's a quick 5 minute survey, and the anonymous results help us guide advocacy efforts that impact our local community, at the provincial level in partnership with the Ontario Chamber.

The Ontario government, in consultation with the Chief Medical Officer of Health, has released A Plan to Safely Reopen Ontario and Manage COVID-19 for the Long-Term, which outlines the province’s gradual approach to lifting remaining public health and workplace safety measures by March 2022. Province to Introduce Legislation to Help Make Ontario the Best Place to Work, Live and Raise a Family
The Ontario government is introducing legislation today that, if passed, would better protect, support, and attract workers to the province. These proposed new measures position Ontario as a first mover in charting the path forward as the way people work changes. The proposed changes would promote healthy work-life balance and will further enable competitiveness by banning unfair non-compete agreements that are used to restrict work opportunities, suppress salary increases and wage growth. Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters launched their inaugural Ontario Made Awards! These awards seek to recognize outstanding Ontario manufacturers and retailers who are contributing to increasing the sale and awareness of locally produced goods.
It’s completely free for manufacturers and retailers to submit a nomination, and it's a great way for companies in your region to promote themselves as one of the best in Ontario. The nomination deadline is November 16th, 2021.
