Alassane Reflects on 2025

(Alassane Compaore, our Administrator of Ministry in Burkina Faso, shared with us this reflection on the past year and the impact made by the Village of Opportunity [VOO].)

The year 2025 was a challenging year. Resilience remains the key word to all the challenges we faced this past year. In looking back over the last year, we began by praising the Lord for all that He has done for us and then for what He will continue to do for us. We thank you for being constant in prayer and loyal in giving to keep ministry moving forward.

The love manifested by you toward us has no borders, has no limits, makes no difference of religion or ethnicity. CWO, through humanitarian and evangelical missions, has touched many lives and transformed many hearts. CWO, through vocational training at the VOO, has given many opportunities to many young women, instilling in them the necessary training to be able to be self-determined and self-employed. For that, we are grateful to God and to you.

Haiti

Meet Saël Moïse Joseph

Saël is the newborn child of Mr. and Mrs. Moise Joseph. During the first year of the marriage of this couple, they did not have any children. Then they brought the matter before the church and requested continual fervent prayers. After 16 years of prayers and waiting upon the Lord, the Lord answered their prayers. Saël, a beautiful infant baby girl was born. On January 25, 2026 the Joseph family and the whole church rejoiced in the Lord for answered prayers during the Sunday morning worship service. There was an explosion of Thanksgiving and joy during the Christening service.

The Grace Evangelical Assembly is one of the eight CWO churches. The congregation meets in the Christian World Outreach (CWO) headquarters building at Delmas 31, Port-au-Prince, Haiti.  Despite the violence, the kidnapping, and the sociopolitical crises, Grace Evangelical Assembly is one among a very few churches, that has never closed its door on a Sunday morning. To God be the glory!

“Thank You for the Christmas Gifts…”

On February 6th-7th, our team was on the ground in Chinota villages, visiting and engaging with the children’s caregivers.

CWO's program, previously known as Our Kids, has been officially renamed Royal Kids to better reflect our vision and passion for nurturing dignity, identity in Christ, purpose, and God's love in every child we serve. We want each to know that they are not only orphans, but they are children of the King.

Josefa’s family cares for four grandchildren, and two of the children are supported by CWO’s Royal Kids program. “Your visit to see how we are doing with the children shows that you care. Whenever you visit, we are encouraged. It is not easy for us to take care of these children. We’re grateful to God for your help.”

Marita has been a widow for over 15 years, and she lives with two grandchildren, and CWO’s Royal Kids program supports both children.  “I couldn’t believe my eyes when the children came from the camp with Christmas gifts you gave them. I was happy that the children would be able to celebrate Christmas with food. Thank you so much for the Christmas gift.”
