Yoder Update - August 2026

From its very beginning, Christian World Outreach (CWO) has been built on relationships. Whether that be with individuals, churches, ministry leaders, or anyone, relationships have been important and key for the ministry. We always count it a blessing to share about CWO with the prayer and financial supporters. Participating in a mission event at a church is especially rewarding as we get to reunite with friends and meet new people.

The weekend of August 22, I was able to be with Lighthouse Bible Church for a mission weekend. It was a short trip but such a blessing to be with this church filled with mission-minded people. On Saturday, I met with the mission team. This was a more intimate time to answer questions about the ministries of CWO, how the leaders are doing, and the issues each country has that could hinder ministry.

These times with mission teams from the CWO supporting churches are very important. It gives them the information they need to communicate with their church about the people they pray for and support financially. It keeps them informed about some of the difficulties the CWO leaders deal with as they minister in their countries. It also encourages them as they hear success stories of how lives are being changed as the Gospel is shared.

Sunday morning began early as the mission team and others prepared breakfast for those attending the morning service. It was a joy to stand back and watch this group of people laugh and enjoy serving together in this way. It was evident that the people from this church love to serve others and that it gives them joy to do so. It was so good to spend this time greeting those I have come to know and to share this time with them. There were many hugs and lots of questions about the CWO ministries they have come to know.

During the morning church service, I was able to give an update on all of the CWO ministries and how God is continuing to work. I not only told about the ministries but also showed pictures that help them visualize the people whom they have prayed for and supported financially. It was a great time of sharing about individuals’ lives that have been blessed with medical care, food, education, and leadership training, but especially about those who have heard the Gospel and responded.

One exciting thing I shared was that in 2027, CWO will be celebrating 50 years of ministry. We are looking forward to celebrating with Lighthouse Bible Church and all those who have prayed for the ministry and have sacrificially given time and resources over the past 50 years.

Thank you for being a part of our journey with CWO and making a difference in so many lives. We hope to see you in 2027 so we can celebrate together what God has done and together look forward to what he will do in the future.
