Yoder Update - June 2025

Over the last few months our time with Christian World Outreach (CWO) has been filled with events. These events are always a great time of connecting in person with those who already support the CWO ministries. It is a great time to introduce people to the CWO ministries whether invited by us or existing CWO supporters. These events are also a time to raise funds to help continue meeting physical, social and educational needs and share the Gospel.

Women Helping Women was held on April 5. The ladies that attended enjoyed a delicious brunch, caught up with friends and heard an inspiring program. This year the program focused on how CWO ministries work with children. The ladies who attended were able to watch some video testimonies those influenced by the Single Moms Raising Sons in South Africa, the After School Program in Sri Lanka and the Our Kids Program in Zimbabwe. Marie St Amour attended in person to share about the Haiti Children’s Feeding Program and answered questions about the current situation in Haiti.

CWO was blessed this year by having a golf tournament in Florida on May 17, hosted by Lighthouse Bible Church. What a great group of people that worked hard to get everything ready. They invited a group of golfers and found 15 sponsors to raise funds for the CWO ministries. This was a great time to share with many people who were hearing about the CWO ministries for the first time. We are very thankful for our friends at Lighthouse Bible Church and the time and energy they put into hosting the golf tournament.

On Monday, June 16 we held the CWO Making a Difference Golf Tournament here in Colorado. God blessed us with great weather and a good group of 81 golfers. We had some fun activities like the golf ball cannon and some good Freddy’s soft serve custard served by Freddy’s at hole 10. Many of CWO’s faithful supporters attended this event. We also had a good group of people new to this event and CWO. At three of the holes golfers heard stories about people who have been impacted by the CWO ministries. During lunch we also had the opportunity to share more about how God is using CWO and invite everyone to continue to support the ministries.

We are looking forward to our annual Making a Difference Banquet that will be on November 6. We will be celebrating God’s faithfulness this year as we look back at how God has been working through the CWO ministries. This event is always a great opportunity to invite those who are not familiar with CWO and to reconnect with those who already support the CWO ministries. We look forward to sharing how God has been faithfully working in Burkina Faso, Haiti, South Africa, Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe.

We are thankful for all those that work hard to make these events happen. We thank you who have been able to attend and support CWO through these events. We thank you who support us with your prayers and your finances as we share about the CWO ministries at these events.

Thank you for praying and for supporting financially.

We have an urgent need for funds to assist some of our ministry leader staff with medical expenses. Thembi one of the founders of Single Moms Raising Sons, was in intensive care for two months due to a heart condition. She accumulated about $7,000 in hospital bills. Also, Widelene, the Assistant Director of the Feminine Training Center in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, is in need of immediate surgery. Widelene’s husband had a stroke several years ago so Widelene is the only one working in her family. If you feel called to help with these needs you can go to our website at cwomissions.org and donate. Choose CWO in the first drop down and then CWO Staff Medical Fund. Thank you for considering giving for this need and caring for our leadership in this way.

  • That those who heard about CWO for the first time will become new supporters.
  • For the preparations of the CWO Making a Difference Banquet.
  • That the message of how God has been faithful will be communicated well at the banquet.
  • That the funds for Thembi and Widelene’s medical needs will be covered.
