Closing Dates for LSR and WUI Grants

Please be advised that the closing date for Landscape Scale Restoration grant applications is now October 30. The Wildland Urban Interface closing date remains September 25. For more information, please see the LSR page and the WUI page.

Healthy Trees, Healthy Lives - Arizona Feature

In coordination with the Western Urban & Community Forestry (WUCF) Network, guest posts are featured on the WFLC website that tie together human and tree health. The posts are provided by members of the WUCF network and are shared on social media with the hashtag #HealthyTreesHealthyLives.

Policy Update
The House is expected to consider the fiscal year (FY) 2021 Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies (Interior) bill this week after its passage by the House Appropriations Committee earlier this month. Arizona has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) outlining a Shared Stewardship framework, joining other western states in formalizing their commitment to the Shared Stewardship initiative

2020 NASF Awards

The National Association of State Foresters’ (NASF) Awards Committee has opened the nominations period for 2020 NASF Awards. Descriptions of the awards and guidelines for selection are included on the first page of the online form .

Nominations will be accepted until August 16, 2020.
