CBC’s Anniversary Celebration on March 17th at 4pm Welcomes the Return of Food Truck Friday, Live Music from Unknown Artist, and a New Beer Release!
Cabarrus Brewing Company (CBC) is Cabarrus County’s largest full-scale craft brewery, and it was also one of the first, opening in March 2016. However, it is their commitment to the local community, and the community's commitment to them that has them still raising a glass 7 years later.
-
The CBC Difference…From day one Steve Steinbacher saw CBC as a community gathering spot as much as a brewery. “We wanted a place that brought people together.” The idea behind CBC is that it’s inclusive and it focuses on the character and culture of Cabarrus County. They strive to meld local history, character, and traditions with a locally produced craft beer of the highest quality.
Over the years, they have done that in countless ways. And while we now have a host of Craft Breweries locally, Cabarrus Brewing Company was the first to bring things like Trivia Nights, Run Clubs, and Mission Mondays to the scene. These were things that were happening in Charlotte, but not regularly in our community.
🤝 Steve and his partners saw CBC as an investment IN and WITH their neighbors and community in their own backyard, which is why, when you hear about collaboration in Cabarrus County, CBC is so often involved. They just care about helping everyone be successful.
Read our full article online to learn more about the impact CBC has had on the community, the many ways they collaborate, and the exciting new venture they have planned, opening later this year.

This unique contest actually came out of the pandemic and is the brainchild of our local Cabarrus County Convention and Visitors Bureau (CCCVB), aka Explore Cabarrus. Their staff saw the devastating impact COVID was having on the restaurant industry in particular and wanted to do something to drive residents to support them. A culinary burger contest was created, and the community loved it…dining at each restaurant and voting for their favorites.
🏆 The creative contest is not just popular locally. It has received attention across the state and earned the Gold Award for Leisure Marketing during the 2022 North Carolina Travel Industry Association Tourism Achievement Awards. The CCCVB showcases this program and the many other attractions in Cabarrus County to encourage visitors and residents alike to explore all that our area has to offer.
- What many may not realize is that having a community that is attractive to visitors, benefits residents in a number of ways.
✂️ 💰 According to the latest data from Visit North Carolina, Cabarrus County had the sixth highest visitor spending growth rate in the state in 2021. Visitor spending reached over $480 million and the $36.1 million in state and local taxes generated by visitor spending in 2021 represents a tax savings of $155 for each Cabarrus County resident.
Visit our website to learn more about the CCCVB’s new brand, watch their promotional video, check out their destination guide, and see what the Power of a Visitor means to our community.
