Dear Cactus Residents,

This past Saturday's Rose Lane Drowning Event was another success! A mock drowning and CPR demonstration was put on by the Glendale Fire Department and pool staff. The Fire Department also fitted kids with life jackets that they got to keep and grilled up lunch for all attendees. While I don't have a total number who came out for the free swim day, everyone had a great time! Pictures can be found below.

Just a reminder that City Hall and other city facilities and buildings will be closed on Tuesday, July 4th in honor of Independence Day. Trash pickup will not be affected. For more information and a link to a full list of closures, please see the announcement below in the newsletter.

Best Regards,

Councilmember Ian Hugh

The City of Glendale has embarked upon an effort to rewrite its Zoning Ordinance (Code), which was last comprehensively updated and codified in 1993.

Building upon the General Plan, the Zoning Code is considered the City's rule book for development. Zoning Codes are amended periodically to maintain relevance and to revisit how development is occurring in the City.

The Zoning Ordinance rewrite draft, now identified as the UDC (Unified Development Code), is now ready for review.

To view the draft, please visit: www.zoneglendaleaz.com

To send feedback, please email: info@zoneglendaleaz.com

Future Citizen Participation meeting dates will be announced accordingly.
