After 6, yes SIX years in the making due to the issues with 1 giant kangaroo rat, construction is underway for the 2nd track at Buttonwillow Raceway.!
The track will be 2.56 miles and built to FIA grade 4 standards. The front straight will be 50 feet wide and the rest of the track will be 40 feet wide. The only thing not making it to FIA grade 4 standards would be grandstands and F1 style garages. The Existing track and the new one WILL NOT be connected.

The tower building will be 9,000 square feet with banquet facilities and large kitchen capabilities. The size of the tower is made possible by a very generous donation of $500,000 by Cal Club members Dick and Kay Young. Dick and Kay’s personal collection of race cars will be on display inside the tower, highlights include a PC-10 Indy Car.

Other features:
-Large tower restrooms with showers
-Paddock restrooms will have showers
-Rental garages will be like the newest built. 8.25 feet X 30 feet
-Shade cover with solar on top 7,800 square feet, tall enough for a semi to drive under
-32 new RV spaces
-In total we are adding just shy of 29,000 square feet of building and shade cover.

We are also in talks with Tesla about installing 16 new Super Charger stations.

Target opening is 1st quarter of 2021!
