We invite you to join the California Retailers Association (CRA), National Retail Federation (NRF) and the American Apparel & Footwear Association (AAFA) at the CalRecycle SB 707, The Responsible Textile Recovery Act of 2024 (Newman), Workshop on July 17, 2025, in Sacramento from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, a pivotal event for retailers committed to shaping the future of responsible textile recovery in California.
CRA is excited to participate in this first informational public textile workshop. The purpose of this workshop is to discuss details of the bill, share the producer responsibility organization (PRO) requirements, and walk through California’s rulemaking process. This workshop offers a unique opportunity to engage directly with regulators, stakeholders, and fellow retailers to discuss the next steps for SB 707, which establishes a comprehensive stewardship program for apparel and textiles.
