The CRA team submitted a comments letter responding to CalRecycle's latest version of the draft regulations for SB 54, California's packaging EPR. The updated text was built on the regulations released December of last year with updates based on feedback CalRecycle received from a number of stakeholders including Cal Retailers after the Governor pulled the regulatory process back due to affordability concerns.

Cal Retailers also signed on to the California Chamber of Commerce's draft response letter, which can be viewed HERE.

As a reminder, next up CalRecycle will be holding a non-regulatory public workshop on June 23, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM (PT) to collect feedback on the covered material category (CMC) guidance and source reduction baseline reporting guidance.
