Ramírez and his research group from the Department of Biological Sciences in the College of Natural and Social Sciences are participating in the Schmidt Ocean Institute oceanographic Octopus Odyssey expedition to explore the micro- and macro-ecology of uncharted seafloor habitats in the Eastern Pacific Ocean. Citrus College, Cal State LA students harness the sun to support homeless

A faculty member and graduate students from the College of Engineering, Computer Science, and Technology have been collaborating with a professor and students from Citrus College and other volunteers to help design and build a solar-powered mobile shower trailer to provide services to people experiencing homelessness. Cal State LA alumna selected for emerging Black screenwriter mentorship program

Alumna Tanisha Quilter-Williams was among 12 emerging Black writers selected as part of the 2023 class of mentees for the Black Boy Writes & Black Girl Writes Mentorship Initiative. Quilter-Williams received a bachelor's degree in television, film, and broadcasting from the College of Arts and Letters. Read more about Quilter-Williams.
