On the first day of the spring semester, the Cal State LA community gathered to comfort and support one another following the wildfires that have impacted Los Angeles County. The Golden Eagles Rise Healing Session featured healing circles and provided reminders of the support and resources available to those affected by the wildfires, including the Golden Eagle LA Fires Recovery Fund. The South Coast Air Quality Management District (South Coast AQMD) Governing Board approved a $150,000 sponsorship to Cal State LA in partnership with Cerritos College to support their efforts in the Battery Workforce Challenge—a national program to train future electric vehicle battery engineers and technicians.
