Women’s volleyball team celebrates a historic season

Congrats to the Cal State LA women’s volleyball team for becoming the third team in program history to reach the NCAA Division II Final Four. The team saw its amazing 2022 season come to an end last Friday when they fell short against top-seeded Concordia-St. Paul in the national semifinal at Seattle Pacific's Royal Brougham Pavilion. The Golden Eagles won the NCAA West Region championship and the California Collegiate Athletic Association regular-season title for the first time since 2005. The team’s 25 wins this season are tied for the fifth-most in program history.

The Luckman presents a concert featuring Dionne Warwick

Six-time Grammy Award-winning legend Dionne Warwick will perform at the Luckman Theatre on Saturday, Dec. 17, at 8 p.m. Most recently, Warwick released a star-studded album of duets, entitled “Feels So Good,” featuring collaborations with some of today’s greatest artists. Cal State LA’s fall 2023 application deadline extended

The fall 2023 undergraduate application deadline for Cal State LA has been extended to Dec. 16. The extension excludes transfer students applying for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program. Students interested in attending Cal State LA can apply through the application portal, Cal State Apply. Prospective students with questions can contact Admissions and Recruitment at [email protected] or 323-343-3901. 

Parking closure during holiday break 

Parking Lot 5 and Structure E will be closed from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. from Monday, Dec. 26, to Wednesday, Dec. 28. The LAUSD All District High School Honor Marching Band will be using the lot and structure to practice for its appearance in the Tournament of Roses Parade.

The Office of Communications and Public Affairs is accepting submissions for the next edition of University Reports. The web publication showcases professional activities and publications, as well as the awards received by our faculty and staff. Get a flu shot at the Student Health Center

The Student Health Center offers flu shots for students, faculty, and staff. Flu shots are free for students and $20 for faculty and staff. Call 323-343-3300 to schedule an appointment.
