Thoughts on the COVID-19 Pandemic
As the US surpasses 100,000 souls who have lost their lives due to COVID-19, we continue to thank health care workers, first responders, and food service providers who are fighting the COVID-19 pandemic on the front lines and keeping essential services open. We also appreciate the efforts of state, local, and federal government officials (elected and staff) who have taken a variety of measures to slow the spread of the virus and its impact on homes and businesses. Please stay safe and healthy, and follow the recommendations of state and county health officials, as well as the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). Coronavirus information from the CDC can be found
here.
Help Us Defray Costs of Publishing The CalCoast™ WAVE
Like many organizations, our revenue has been adversely affected due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Currently, our biggest monthly expense is publication of the WAVE. In addition to this writer, two contractors research and post articles to the WAVE and our website. In addition, we have recurring monthly costs for digital subscriptions to major news outlets, Constant Contact, Amazon Web Services, and other solutions running in the background of the WAVE.
In order to help underwrite the cost of publishing the WAVE, we are seeking advertisers. The rates for an ad have been $100 per month or $900 per year. At this time, however, we are only charging $500 for an annual ad. If you or your firm would like to place an ad in the WAVE, please send your logo and the URL you would like us to link it to: [email protected]. We will invoice you for $500.
If you or your firm isn't interested in posting an ad in the WAVE, please consider making a donation to the California Coastal Coalition (checks only) so we can continue publishing important news, announcements, events, and employment opportunities to our readers around the world. Thank you for considering this request.
