Streamlined Suspense Process for Compliance Files in MAS

Effective April 4, 2018, CalHFA will use an enhanced document upload process for compliance suspense conditions on all loan files. Changes include:

Lenders can view suspense conditions from the document upload screen.

Incomplete Underwriting Approval Warning

Compliance document issue - UW approval missing signature

Lenders must upload all suspense conditions prior to re-submitting to CalHFA.

Submitting to CalHFA

CalHFA will no longer allow the upload of partial suspense conditions

These enhancements will shorten the time-consuming process of reviewing incomplete files, which can result in multiple suspensions of the same loan file. This new process should lower compliance review turn times and result in lenders receiving their Notice of Commitment faster.
