Driver License Extension for Seniors
Driver license holders over the age of 70 with March–December 2020 expirations are getting an automatic one-year extension from their original expiration date. To learn more click here.

The extensions are automatic, however eligible drivers will not receive a new card or paper extension in the mail. As an option, these drivers can request a free temporary paper extension online through the DMV’s Virtual Field Office to document their extension, though it is not needed to drive.
