California Retailers Association Announces Sarah Pollo Moo as
Director of Communications and Public Affairs

Sacramento, CA – February 28, 2023 – The California Retailers Association (CRA) announced today a new addition to their team. Sarah Pollo Moo joins CRA as Director of Communications and Public Affairs bringing with her a wide range of expertise including over 15 years of work in and around the Capitol as a communications professional and managing and executing grassroots advocacy and outreach campaigns.
"I've worked with Sarah for many years and am thrilled to have her come in-house with Cal Retailers," said Rachel Michelin, President and CEO. "Sarah will continue to support California's retail industry, sharing the important role our members play as a driving force in the state's economy, soon to be the fourth largest in the world."

Prior to joining CRA, Sarah Pollo Moo owned a communications consultant business, Pollo Communications, Inc., since 2018. Her professional experience included positions with former Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, former Assemblymember Roger Niello, work with Sacramento area public affairs and public relations firms and service as an appointee on the Sacramento Metropolitan Cable Television Commission. Pollo Moo currently volunteers her time with the National Psoriasis Foundation advocating for others suffering from the lifelong autoimmune disorder and is a lifetime Emeritus Board Member for Sacramento State’s Policy & Politics Alumni Association chapter and a member of Capitol Public Radio’s Marketing Committee.
In 2018 Sarah was awarded Sacramento Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 recognition, which honors 40 individuals under 40 for their outstanding professional accomplishments and community involvement. She is also an alumna of the Sacramento Chamber Foundation’s Leadership Sacramento Class of 2020.
Sarah holds a bachelor’s degree in government-journalism and a master’s degrees in government from Sacramento State University.
Sarah joins the CRA team full time on March 1, 2023.
