Nu Sass Productions presents: The Veil
February 15, 8-10PM

A play in which a female Marine returns home from deployment in Afghanistan to begin planning her wedding. While being tormented by her controlling sister and mother, she fights against the ghosts she's returned with from her experience overseas. Written By: Hope Villanueva Directed By: Angela Kay Pirko.

Transp0se Yoga with Cliff Cartel
February 17, 2018 11AM - 12PM

Educator and musician Cliff Cartel, hosts a bi-monthly yoga class in the Anacostia Arts Center Lounge, on the first and third Saturday of the month. All classes are free and open to the public. 

Frederick Douglass Bicentennial Birthday Celebration
February 17-18, 

Celebrate the bicentennial of Frederick Douglass's birth with the National Park Service and its community partners . There will be community lectures, dramatic performances, hands-on kids activities and musical performances. Programs and events are being held at the Frederick Douglass National Historic Site and the Anacostia Arts Center.

All The Way Live Tuesdays! featuring RNL
February 27, 7-9PM 

Known for his cocksure homilies, RNL's musical talents were cultivated in Southeast DC. A third generation Washingtonian RNL's music reflects stories from his city. Inspired by his late uncle who was a gifted drummer and encouraged by his older brother Sean, RNL's path to hip-hop began as a critical listener and student. At Duke Ellington School of the Arts his destiny manifested on paper and in practice with fellow creatives that would incubate one of his natural gifts - improvisation. RNL is a skilled MC, part of the Delegation Music crew.

The Tarot Reading  
March 9 - 11, 2018

The Tarot Reading is a variety show like none other. A group of eclectic artists create singular acts for one yet many, each inspired by a card of the Tarot. Each act is interactive, performed for and with one adventurous (consenting) audience member. Part vaudeville, part carnival sideshow, part mystical ritual.

Feminine Folklore: Anything in between.  
Freshh Theatre Company
March 16 - 18, 2018 8-10PM

This devised theatre series tells the stories of  the taboos, assumptions, and stories of a range of Black women exploring life, love and relationships at various crossroads in their lives.

All The Way Live Tuesdays - SE3 Collective 
March 27, 2018 7-9PM

SE3 Collective is an arts collective based in Anacostia: Washington DC. The community of artists and families unite to produce various forms of art. Music, Theater, Poetry and Video have been infused with Agriculture, Youth Development and Education to ensure longevity in the DC community and establish and maintain elite artistry and community .
Film Screening and Discussion with Jenna North
February 17, 2-4PM 

Join Jenna North for a film screening and discussion. North is a Washington, DC based interdisciplinary artist, professor and curator who considers the vast majority of her work to function as social aesthetics. Her work is driven by a deep concern for environmental issues, and she often collaborates with a wide range of scientists and artists for public projects and her own work.

The HIVE 2.0 opens the Creative Entrepreneur's Gallery on 2/15/2018! Rashad Muhammad, founder of RAM Creates, will be the FIRST artist featured. RAM Creates is his full service graphic design and branding firm based in the DMV. His mastery of graphic art and traditional art sets him apart as a creative leader in our community. Come celebrate his artistry on opening night. Everything kicks off at 6:30 PM.

Rashad Muhammad, founder of RAM Creates, will be teaching a workshop on branding here at the HIVE 2.0! Are you a small business owner who doesn't know where to start in branding their company? ARCH is a small, nonprofit neighborhood-based organization located in and focused on the revitalization of Washington DC's Historic Anacostia neighborhood. ARCH's mission is to create, in partnership with the residents and stakeholders of the neighborhood, a home for arts, culture, and small businesses.  ARCH believes Anacostia should be a vibrant residential and commercial neighborhood that retains its historic charm and is filled with small businesses and cultural organizations that serve Anacostia residents and create a destination for visitors.  ARCH runs several creative projects, including Anacostia Arts Center, Honfleur Gallery, Vivid Gallery, Go Anacostia and The Hive 2.0.
