The Calhoun County Land Bank Authority (CCLBA) celebrated the State of Michigan's 20 Years of Land Banking at an open house event today in Battle Creek. The event focused on CCLBA’s progress since its formation, highlighting the transformation of vacant and abandoned properties into community assets. As it looks forward, upcoming projects and initiatives continue to build on this momentum by focusing on strategic work that aligns with the needs and priorities of local communities and neighborhoods.

Healthy Meals Incentives Recognition Award

The Calhoun County Youth Center's (CCYC) food program has been honored with the USDA’s Healthy Meals Incentives Rural Lunch Trailblazer Award! Marijuana Lock It Up

The Calhoun County Public Health Department (CCPHD) offers free marijuana lock bags through the Lock It Up program. These bags are designed to securely store products like edibles, capsules, vaping supplies, and medications, enhancing safety in households with young children and pets.

Albion's Tech Savvy Program

The Calhoun County Broadband Task Force Digital Equity Subcommittee has been promoting digital resources that support the community. One of these resources is the Senior Millage supported project, Tech Savvy Seniors program, which offers technology tutoring to older adults in the Albion community.
