Arts in California Parks Grant Program

Eligibility: 501(c)3 organizations, California Native American Tribes, Native 7871 Organizations, Land Trusts, Fiscally Sponsored Community Organizations, Community Foundations, and Government Agencies (excluding California State Parks and Federal Lands).
Requirements: This year features a streamlined grant application process. Applicants are asked to complete a letter of intent to determine eligibility and assess fit before requiring a full application. All letters of intent will be reviewed, and selected applicants will be invited to submit a complete application.
· In order to qualify for this grant program, projects must:
o Integrate art and nature as a catalyst for community connection in local parks.
o Be free and open to the public.
· Projects must involve a collaborative partnership between:
o Nonprofit(s)
o Artist(s)
o Local public park manager(s)
o Eligible partners may include nonprofit organizations, fiscally sponsored community organizations, California Native American tribes, Native 7871 organizations, foundations, land trusts, and/or local government agencies.

USDA: Community Wildfire Defense
Deadline: March 14th, 2025
Amount:The maximum amount of Federal funding awarded to any one community or Tribe via this competitive process is:
- $250,000 for the creation or updating of a Community Wildfire Protection Plan.
- $10 million for a project described within a Community Wildfire Protection Plan less than 10 years old.
- For planning purposes, the total Federal funding available through the CWDG competitive process could be up to $250 million for this second round.
Eligibility: Entities eligible to apply for at-risk communities for funding under the CWDG include:
- Units of local governments representing communities located in an area with a risk of wildfires,
- Indian Tribes (please apply through either the Indian Tribes/Alaska Native Corporations specific notice or the applicable regional notice),
- Non-profit organizations including homeowner associations that assist such communities,
- State forestry agencies (including U.S. territories and interests), and
- Alaska Native Corporations (please apply through either the Indian Tribes/Alaska Native Corporations specific notice or the applicable regional notice).

Grants for Education:
CDE: School Breakfast Program (SBP) and Summer Meal Programs (SMP) Grants
Deadline: March 17, 2025
Amount: $15,000.00 per site
Match: No
Eligibility: To qualify for SBP grants, at least 20 percent of enrolled students at the school site must be approved for free or reduced-price meals. To receive SMP grants, the site must meet program eligibility criteria. The Budget Act allows the California Department of Education (CDE) to award grants only to school districts, county offices of education, and direct-funded charter schools.
Site must not have previously been awarded a grant for an SBP or SMP within the past three years.

CDE: Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program
Deadline: March 20th, 2025
Amount: The amount of the individual school grant will depend on the total enrollment of the schools participating in the program. Per student award has a minimum of $50 and a maximum of $75.

CA Dept of Education Funding: Middle College and Early College Grant

Eligibility: All LEAs interested in starting a new, autonomous middle college high school or new early college high school, in expanding an existing middle college high school or early college high school or in starting a new early college high school within an existing school are encouraged to apply. LEA must show evidence of an existing or planned partnership with an institution of higher education for the creation of a dual enrollment program.
If your LEA received funding in a previous round of the MCEC or CCAP grant, the LEA is not eligible for round three funding unless it is for a high school that has not previously received funding.
