It has been nearly two years since Governor Gavin Newsom announced that the U.S. Department of Treasury approved California’s plan to distribute $1 billion in direct financial assistance to qualified homeowners who had fallen behind on their housing costs.
Soon after, the California Mortgage Relief Program began accepting applications from homeowners and to date more than 28,000 California households have received funding from the program. The program has made several updates to expand the various forms of assistance offered to help even more homeowners receive the help they need.
We want to encourage California homeowners seeking assistance on housing costs such as past-due mortgage payments, missed property taxes, partial claims, loan deferrals and reverse mortgage arrearages to apply now for assistance. We are here for you and want to help you and your families enjoy time with one another in your homes this holiday season. Apply now to protect your home so you can create many more memories with the ones you love.
