Medi-Cal has issued an Electronic Payment Correction for incorrect denials on reimbursement of 88350, each additional single antibody stain procedure. It was denied using 0082 denial code, service exceeds maximum allowed by Medi-Cal. CLICK HERE to see the EPC letter published in August.
We point this out because the error occurred for a long period of time and the EPC reprocesses claims denied in error for the time period Oct. 1, 2016 through May 24, 2021. Providers do not need to do anything since these claims will be re-processed and should show up on RADs dated Aug. 12, 2021 and noted with the CCN prefix 121455.
