Dear Simcoe & District Chamber of Commerce Member,
The Simcoe and District Chamber of Commerce, a not-for-profit organization, is governed by a Board of Directors. Within the association's mandate is the board's expectation to develop, implement and monitor policies that will allow the organization to carry out its work.
The Simcoe and District Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors is elected by, and accountable to, its membership. While the Board of Directors may appoint staff and/or committees to carry out specific work related to its policies, programs and services, the board is ultimately responsible for meeting organizational outcomes.
Each year Chamber members in good standing have the opportunity to put their name forward to sit as a Board Member of the Chamber. We currently have seats that are open on the Board and invite you to submit your name for consideration by the members. The time commitment is a one-year term.

Mission Statement
The Simcoe & District Chamber of Commerce strives to be the recognized voice of business committed to the enhancement of economic prosperity in Simcoe and surrounding areas.
Goals
To participate in the development of public policy which supports economic development.
To promote business excellence in and through private enterprises.
To provide leadership to the constituents through action on their behalf and through seeking feedback.
To strengthen the organization by increasing it membership and resource base.
Vision
To foster, collaborate and stimulate a vibrant, economically sustainable and diverse county that is driven by a responsive, innovative, successful and ever expanding business community.
The Bylaws state, the affairs of the Chamber are managed by not less than 10 and no more than 15 Board Members. Open positions are available! The Annual General Meeting is being held on Thursday, November 17th at the Best Western at 8:00 am at which time the new Board will be elected.
