The Women in Science and Medicine Advisory Committee (WISMAC) invites you to submit abstracts for the 2023 Celebration of Women in Science & Medicine Poster Session to be held immediately following the Ida M. Green Visiting Professorship University Lecture by Michelle Monje Deisseroth, MD, PhD (Stanford) on April 5, 2023. This Celebration seeks to enhance the visibility and recognition of women in science and medicine at UT Southwestern.
We encourage female scientists, clinicians and educators, including faculty, postdocs, fellows, residents and students at UT Southwestern to submit an abstract for a poster presentation in basic science, clinical/translational, or public health/education research. Only one abstract may be submitted per presenting author and the presenting author must be able to attend the celebration to present her research. Although the presenting author must be female, co-authors/collaborators can be male
Submission Guidelines:
Abstracts should be no longer than 400 words and submitted online. Title, authors’ names, and figures are not included in the word count. References should be noted as citations within the text. The abstract submission form supports text only. Do not use bolding, centering, underlines, columns, bullets, or scientific symbols. If using a figure/table, do not paste into text of abstract, but upload as a single image file.
In addition to the abstract, you must enter the following on the electronic form:
