Living in Germany
German Quirks
What you need to know about Germans

Germans have several quirks that may seem odd to an international visitor. For example, while Sunday may seem like the perfect day to run errands, shops are generally closed in Germany. Also, neighbors will be upset if you mow your lawn or tackle any other noise-intensive items on your to-do list - disrupting their Ruhetag or "resting day." Application Tip #29
Will DAAD make housing arrangements for me as an Undergraduate Scholarship recipient?

No, DAAD scholarship holders are responsible for finding their own accommodation. Most German universities have student housing available. Check with the international office at your future German university for more information.
