Intensive Language Course Grants

This scholarship program aims to help students and graduates improve their knowledge of the German language. DAAD offers grants to applicants from North American universities to attend 8-week intensive language courses at leading institutes in Germany. Apply by Dec 1st.

Call for Applications
University Summer Course Grants

This program provides scholarships to attend a broad range of three- to four-week summer courses at German universities which focus mainly on German language and literary, cultural, political and economic aspects of modern and contemporary Germany. Apply by Dec 1st.

Study Scholarship and Research Grants

Make sure to submit your applications for the Study Scholarship or Research Grant through the DAAD online portal today. Please note that the portal closes at 11 pm Central European Time ( 5 PM EST/4 PM CST/3 PM MTN/2 PM PST). Review your application by using the application checklists of your grant before you submit. Good luck to all applicants!

New Alexander von Humboldt Professors Chosen

Five researchers from abroad, three of which are from the United States, have been selected to receive Germany’s most valuable international research award in 2018. The Alexander von Humboldt Professorship comes with up to €5 million in funding and is granted to eminent researchers of all disciplines.

Our DAAD regional office in New York is offering an internship in network administration. We are seeking  Information Technology majors  who are nearing the end of their studies   or  IT-graduate students . The internship will take place in New York City.

When will decisions for the Research Grants and Study Scholarship be announced?

Results will be announced through the portal in April. Please do not call or email. You will receive an e-mail notification confirming receipt of your application eight weeks after the deadline. Application decisions will not be accompanied by an explanation.
