PVA invites your participation in this invitational/juried all-media exhibit, which seeks to honor the dignity of our campesinos/agricultural workers and farmers.  What do you see, feel, and believe as you pass by our fields everyday? How does your artwork represent the issues of dignity, labor, workers' rights, immigration, and the duality of every day living for migrant workers? Celebrate the contributions of our workers, and capture their celebration of family, home, and community.   Entry Form

PVA, Community Arts and Empowerment and the City of Watsonville invite  your participation in two public art projects that will be located at the Ramsay  Park Family Center in Watsonville. The City of Watsonville is preparing  upgrades on the Ramsay Park Family Center which offers an opportunity  to showcase local art. This call is for two projects at Ramsey Park: Moveable  Murals and Skylight Mosaic. Artists may choose to enter in either or both projects. The theme for both projects is "The Heart of the Pajaro Valley".

The Skylight Mosaic project is for design only. The selected image will be translated into a glass on glass mosaic for the space above the front door of the Ramsay Park Community Center. The selected artist may choose to help with  the fabrication, however, fabrication and installation will be done by Community  Arts and Empowerment.   A design stipend of $600 will be paid to the selected artist.

Movable Murals is a joint project of PVA and the City of Watsonville which provides outdoor, permanent hanging space for muralists and artists utilizing digital media and/or painting to create temporary installations. This project is similar to the murals installed at 250 Main Street.

There will be three opportunities to create 8' x 16' long murals, with a stipend of $1000 for each of the three.
