Calling All Bay-Delta Science Conference Attendees!

The first day of the 12th Biennial Bay-Delta Science Conference, September 30, 2024, will include a session where attendees can display or peruse posters submitted by researchers to communicate their study’s findings. Although the original call for poster abstracts has closed, a new call for late-breaking poster abstracts is now open! Posters will be displayed throughout the conference, arranged by theme, and may include summaries or reports relevant to the region’s issues. Those interested in presenting a poster should submit an abstract by September 1, 2024, that 1) includes a statement describing the findings’ relevance to Bay-Delta management and 2) indicates the theme (see abstract submittal form) most pertinent to their poster’s subject. Abstracts for late-breaking posters will be reviewed as they are submitted.

The Delta Stewardship Council and U.S. Geological Survey are offering early-bird registration rates through August 19, 2024. Registration will close on September 16, 2024.

The theme is “Cultivating Connections for a Dynamically

Changing Environment.” Just as cultivation can nurture the

development of a sapling into a tree and the growth of many trees into a resilient forest, connection and cultivation will magnify our positive impact as practitioners, inhabitants, and stewards of the Bay-Delta facing the multiple challenges inherent in rapid change. Embracing connections across ways of knowing, disciplines, and geographies will be the key to fruitful adaptation.
