Call for Nominations: 2020 Harry Reid Silver State Research Award

The Division of Research and Economic Development is pleased to accept nominations for the prestigious 2020 Harry Reid Silver State Research Award . Nominations, including the completed application packet and materials supporting the nomination, are invited from January 15 - February 17, 2020, 5:00 pm PT . The award honors faculty who have performed research that is both highly regarded and responsive to the needs of the community and state. The award carries a $10,000 stipend. The award is open to full-time tenured faculty members who are engaged in significant research that meets one or more of the following criteria: Directly and positively affects the economic growth and development of Nevada; Addresses a pressing social need in the community and/or region; Demonstrably advances significant scholarship in an academic field of knowledge.

Request for Proposals

Nevada Water Resources Research Institute FY2020 State Water Research Institute Program FY2020 National Competitive Grants (104g) Approximately $1,000,000 is available annually. Any investigator at an institution of higher learning in the United States is eligible. Proposals involving substantial collaboration with the USGS are encouraged. A 1:1 non-federal match is required. Proposals must be filed on the NIWR website. This year, pre-proposals are not required and only full proposals for only four high priority research areas as written in the RFP will be considered. USGS will not consider proposals that are submitted for hydrologic research that do not address these areas.

Under the Water Resources Research Act, Section 104 research grant program, which is administered by the US Department of the Interior through the Water Resources Division of the U.S. Geological Survey, the Division of Hydrologic Sciences (DHS) of the Desert Research Institute (DRI) is soliciting proposals for funding. UNLV OSP Deadline: Final proposal with all requirements due to your OSP Representative by February 27, 2020. NWRRI Deadline: Proposals must be received no later than 5:00 p.m., March 5, 2020 to allow for review, selection, and processing. Final packages must be submitted electronically from this office to the USGS by mid-March.

The New Mexico IDeA Networks of Biomedical Research Excellence (NM-INBRE) Sequencing and Bioinformatics Core (SBC) invites you to apply for a pilot project award valued at approximately $5k - $10k to drive your research, publications and grants!
