Trainee Board of Directors Representative 2022-2024
Call for Nominations
SAHM is now accepting nominations for the Trainee Representative position on the Board of Directors. This position serves as a liaison between the SAHM Board of Directors and SAHM Student and Trainee members to ensure ideas and information are brought to the Board of Directors. It is a unique experience that allows student and trainee members to be active, gain experience and a clear picture of how a large multidisciplinary organization is run.
Criteria for Eligibility to Serve
- A post-baccalaureate degree and enrollment in graduate or medical school, or a fellowship or post-doctoral training program at the time of election.
- Active membership in SAHM in one of the following membership categories: Trainees with Post-Advanced Degrees, Fellowship Trainees, Residents, and Graduate Students
- Active membership by one or more of the following: attendance at an Annual Meeting, participation in a SAHM committee, Special Interest Group (SIG), or a SAHM Regional Chapter
- Career aspirations focused on an adolescent health-related issue or field
The election with SAHM Student and Trainee members who are eligible to vote will take place in October 2021. The new Trainee Representative serves a two-year term and will begin immediately following the SAHM 2022 Annual Meeting.
