The 2023 Domestic Violence Offender Management Board and Sex Offender Management Board Annual Conference

We look forward to hosting our 2023 Domestic Violence and Sex Offender Management Annual Conference in Breckenridge, Colorado. Our conference typically draws a little over 500 attendees and we hope that you will consider presenting at our conference in 2023. The theme of the 2023 conference is "Activating Intersectionality while Building Healthy Lives & Trusting Partnerships".


As we begin to move beyond COVID, working together in partnership is more important than ever. In order to create safer communities, it is critical that we maintain healthy lives, and identify and acknowledge critical issues related to intersectionality. We encourage you to consider this theme as you prepare your conference proposal.

July 12, 13, or 14th.

Deadline: February 17, 2023

PRESENTER EXPECTATIONS:

  • The sessions will be presented in person and then recorded. These recorded sessions will be posted on the Conference website after the conference ends.
  • Each session is scheduled for 90 minutes 
  • As a presenter, you are able to attend the conference at no cost to you. If you have more than two presenters in your presentation, additional presenters receive 50% off the registration fee.
  • Submission authors will be notified if they were selected in March 2023
  • Presentation AV requests are due June 2, 2023
  • Presentation handouts and/or any other resources are due June 16. 2023


TARGET AUDIENCE:

Professionals including, but not limited to, domestic violence and sex offender treatment providers, evaluators, polygraph examiners, victim therapists, victim advocates, school personnel, community supervision officers, child welfare, attorneys, judges, magistrates, and law enforcement (local, state and federal).


SUBJECTS OF INTEREST:

Suggested topics include but are not limited to offender treatment through the lens of equity, diversity and inclusivity; assessment research; clinician supervision; professional resiliency; conducting evaluations; offender management research; innovative treatment approaches; the role of technology in treatment; and the best practices in teletherapy.
