The Florida College of Emergency Physicians (FCEP), in conjunction with the Florida Emergency Medicine Foundation (FEMF), invites you to present at its 55th Annual Meeting: Symposium by the Sea 2026. Help advance best practices in emergency medicine by contributing your knowledge and expertise through continuing education for your colleagues.
Symposium by the Sea participants include emergency physicians, residents, medical students, physician assistants, nurses, and EMS. Your presentation should be tailored appropriately for this audience.
The Planning Committee is looking for evidence-based content on the following subjects:
- New Technologies in Emergency Medicine (e.g., Artificial Intelligence; Decision Support Tools)
- Pediatrics
- Resuscitation, Critical Care, and Trauma
- Advocacy for EM
- Operational Aspect of EM

EMS (i.e., building high performance teams; career development; critical care transport; ventilation; respiratory; airway; EMS to ED handoff; hemorrhage control)
- Professional Development and Leadership
- EM Workforce
- Billing & Coding
- Resilience, Wellness, and Personal Finance
- Resident & Student Education
- Toxicology
- Wilderness/Disaster Medicine
- Sports Medicine
- Diversity, Inclusion, and Health Equity
- Other relevant topics that are cutting edge in advancing emergency medicine
Types of sessions:
- Rapid fire sessions (25 mins)
- Skills laps (60-120 mins)
If you are interested in presenting at Symposium by the Sea 2026, please fill out the online application by February 11, 2026. Faculty receive complimentary conference registration and are encouraged to attend other events at SBS 2026.
