League News
The League is soliciting session proposals and speakers for four upcoming educational conferences and recently added a new proposal format so that applicants can be creative with their submission format.
NLC recently released its sixth annual State of the Cities report that analyzes more than 150 annual speeches given by mayors from cities, towns and villages across America. Top issues include: economic development; infrastructure; climate change; and the opioid epidemic.
Share your city's story and help NLC celebrate the inspiring, challenging, and community-building experiences that define life in a small city, town or village.
Opportunities for Cities

The League’s co-sponsorship of the California Statewide Communities Development Authority (CSCDA) continues to be one of the most significant benefits for League members. CSCDA announced the issuance of $25 million in tax-exempt affordable housing bonds for La Mesa Springs Apartments in La Mesa and $20 million taxable loan for the Salk Institute for Biological Studies, based in La Jolla.
