Dear Colleagues:
We invite you to propose symposia topics for the 24th Annual Scientific Conference of the Canadian Spine Society taking place in-person at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler in Whistler, British Columbia, Canada from February 28 – March 2, 2024.
Symposia proposal should include:
- identification of the Chair(s).
- a brief synopsis of the symposium theme (maximum half a page).
- a list of 3 or 4 potential speakers including their institutional affiliations. The speakers do not need to be confirmed.
- tentative titles plus a summary of each talk in the symposium (3-4 sentences).
- The symposium is 90 minutes long and must fill this entire time block.
- Each of the 3 or 4 presentations can last up to 20 minutes
- The format must leave adequate time for Q&A and open discussion.
-
Each presenter can give only one talk.
- Speakers must register for the Conference and are responsible for all expenses unless specifically approved by the CSS Executive Committee.
Symposia should focus on timely topics of broad interest to the CSS/ CPSS membership. Multi-institutional submissions with a translational component and a mix of junior and senior researchers are encouraged. We suggest that, reflecting the diversity of our Society, individuals from underrepresented groups be included as presenters.
We look forward to seeing you in Whistler!
Deadline to submit your proposal: August 31st, 2023
Proposals should be emailed as Word or PDF attachments to css@spinecanada.ca
