NISOD maintains an open call for Innovation Abstracts articles. Community and technical college educators are invited to share their best ideas about programs, projects, and strategies that improve students’ higher education experiences.

Over the years, NISOD’s annual conference has provided faculty, administrators, and staff with the resources, ideas, and solutions that drive excellence in all areas of community and technical college campuses.

Suanne Davis Roueche Faculty ScholarshipFaculty members at NISOD member colleges who would like to attend NISOD’s International Conference on Teaching and Leadership Excellence, but lack the financial means to do so, are encouraged to apply. 

Student Essay Contest. Students describe in a 500-word (or less) essay a faculty member, staff member, or administrator who encouraged them to complete a course, finish a semester, or graduate from college and how that encouragement helped them reach their goal(s).

Student Graphic Design Contest. Students design the official Conference Program front cover for NISOD’s 2025 International Conference on Teaching and Leadership Excellence.

NISOD Excellence Awards. NISOD members are invited to submit the names of men and women each year who have demonstrated an outstanding commitment and contribution to their students and colleagues.
