Expression of Interest
Submission period for stage one: September 2 to October 14

The City of Brampton invites professional artists and artist-led teams residing and legally permitted to work in Canada, to submit expressions of interest to create a new Brampton Fire and Emergency Services Memorial. Artists must have experience working and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to create innovative and enduring outdoor artwork.

Call for BIPOC Community Curator or Curators
The Museums of Mississauga and Mississauga Celebration Square have partnered to invite a Curator or team of Curators who identify as BIPOC to develop a project that engages with the community using the Museums and Mississauga Celebration Square as a platform to be delivered in 2022.
This initiative is intended to provide access to space and resources within the City's cultural spaces. This call is open to a Curator or Curators who identify as Black, Indigenous, or Person(s) of Colour.
Call for Writers
Public Parking is currently seeking critical thinkers, attentive cultural observers, and meticulous point-makers to write for the publication. We are also seeking visual artists interested in using the publication as a testing space to write adjacent to, or discursively alongside their own or a peers studio practice.

Public Parking is a journal for critical thought, ideas, storytelling, arguments, and discovery through tangential conversations.
Music on the Street

In collaboration with Unionville BIA, we are hosting concerts every weekend that feature local musicians! Come experience everything that Main Street has to offer while enjoying music that will excite, soothe, and delight.

Raisa Orshansky and Viktor Kott

Raisa Orshansky is a Canadian SOCAN and PARMA recording artist specializing in folk instrument Tsimbaly. A graduate of Minsk University of Culture and Arts (Belarus), Orshansky has recorded and produced two albums - Midnight in Toronto and Original Impressions.

Viktor Kott is a Ukranian - Canadian musician who plays a variety of instruments such as duduk, melodica, shakuhachi, Irish flute, and jaw harp (khomus). Vik is a brilliant pianist and composer and a member of SOCAN Canada. He has recorded and produced two albums - You & Me and Unconditional Love

Dan Walsh's
Brass Bandits

Daniel Walsh is a multi-instrumentalist who's played hundreds of shows across southern Ontario both as an accompanist and as a frontman. He currently is performing regularly at Markham's own Rouge River Brewery.

Nolan Murphy is a Canadian-born vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, specializing in new orleans and traditional jazz and swing music.

Lowell Whitty is a drummer from Toronto who lays down second line grooves, Afrocuban influences and Rocknroll during his performance.
