Health and Wellness Board opening


There is an opportunity to serve on the Executive Board of Directors for the Health and Wellness division.


The Coquille Indian Tribe’s Health and Wellness division was created to offer integrated health with primary care, behavioral health, dental, pharmacy, public health, opioid and substance use disorder programs. Our health services promote a holistic approach to healing in a comfortable, inclusive environment. We serve our Coquille Tribal family, other American Indians and Alaska Natives, tribal employees, and the public. The division is governed by a Health and Wellness Executive Board of Directors serving at the pleasure of the Tribal Council and performing its duties in accordance with the Health and Wellness Division Ordinance and the related Division policies.


If you are interested in serving on the Executive Board of Directors, please send a resume detailing your experience with a letter expressing your interest.

Call for illustrators


Are you an illustrator interested in celebrating the Coquille people’s artistic legacies?


Would you like to share this heritage with local schools to educate children about these traditions in a fun and unique way?


If so, you’re in luck!


The Culture Department is seeking illustrators to design pages for a workbook about traditional arts, history, and resources to accompany the Coos Art Museum’s Roots and Visions: Celebrating Tribal Art show this October.


This intertribal project is funded through a grant from the Miller Foundation with an approved amount of $2,000 for up to ten illustrators / up to 40 hours of work.


Sample submissions for consideration are due Friday, August 22. If your submission is selected, final illustrations must be submitted for graphic design by Friday, September 22.

KWC opens late Aug. 21


The Ko-Kwel Wellness Center locations, Shishda Haws reception, and Pharmacy will open at 10 a.m. on Thursday, August 21 due to an all-staff meeting.

CIT CYBERSECURITY AUDIT


Through this Request for Proposals, the Coquille Indian Tribe is seeking competitive proposals from qualified and experienced individuals or firms to conduct a comprehensive cybersecurity audit to assess our current security posture, identify vulnerabilities, and provide actionable recommendations to enhance our cybersecurity framework. An addendum 1 has been added see link for more information.


CIT will accept proposals until 2 p.m. PST on August 26 Electronic copies of the RFP and all required forms and attachments may be obtained by emailing projects@coquilletribe.org.

Caretaker sought for Powers property


The Coquille Indian Tribe is looking for a Tribal member to serve as a caretaker for the newly acquired property in Powers, Oregon.


The property is 40+ acres and includes a caretaker's house, trailer house, barn, shop, outbuildings, fields, and gardens.


This person should anticipate a minimum three-to-five hours per week to be engaged in physically demanding maintenance duties.


This is a volunteer position, with lodging provided in lieu of compensation.
