Proposals are being accepted for those wanting to conduct 90-minute presentations and 60-minute poster presentations at the 2024 Northeast Nebraska Behavioral Health Conference, which will be held on Friday, March 22 at Wayne State College.
The 90-minute presentations (75 minutes with 15-minute Q&A sessions) could focus on a variety of behavioral health topics including grief and loss, co-occurring disorders, treating anger, school-based mental health, ethics in helping professions, court and legal behavioral health, counselor supervision training and future mental health trends. Students and professionals from any behavioral health pathway are welcome to submit poster presentations for the 60-minute Poster Session, which will run from 11 a.m. to noon and include informal Q&A sessions. Submit a poster presentation proposal here.
The deadline to submit proposals is Feb. 5. Presenters will be selected and notified by Feb. 15.
The 2024 Northeast Nebraska Behavioral Health Conference will be held in the Kanter Student Center at Wayne State College. The event is co-hosted by BHECN Northeast and Wayne State College.
The conference is free-of-charge and focuses on integrative health care and rural behavioral health needs. It is open to all helping professionals, including educators, students, counselors, social workers, psychologists, clergy, health care providers and administrative staff.
