Call for projects! Time to apply for PSRC funding

We released a call for projects this week for $524 million in PSRC's federal transportation funds. Selecting projects for these funds is one of our most important jobs at PSRC. It's a competitive, merit-based process based on policies established by the Executive Board. You can find all the details on our website.

City of Des Moines
Welcome, Des Moines!

I'm pleased to announce that the City of Des Moines has voted to join PSRC. The city is an important regional partner and we're thrilled with their decision to come back as a member of PSRC. I look forward to a strong collaboration with the community moving forward.
VISION 2050 scoping in full swing

We've had great turnout at our VISION 2050 listening sessions this month, with many engaged people giving us valuable input on the scope of the project. If you haven't already, check out the scoping notice and provide feedback by March 19. On Thursday, the Growth Management Policy Board will take up the proposed schedule for developing VISION 2050 and hear a briefing on trends and growth forecasts shaping the future of the region.
Regional aviation baseline study moving ahead

Last week the Executive Board directed staff to proceed with pursuing grant funding through the Federal Aviation Administration to complete a Regional Aviation Baseline Study. The study is expected to produce information critical for understanding the region's long-term aviation needs and options for policy makers. The proposed study would be launched mid-2018 and completed by the end of 2019.

I welcome your feedback on our work at PSRC. You can reach me at jbrown@psrc.org .
