Call to Action: Pause for a Safety Moment

IHSA has learned of two construction related fatalities this week in Ontario:

  • A worker has died after falling 100-foot fall at wastewater treatment plant in Leslieville
  • A worker has died after being hit by a dump truck in Kanata

Falls and struck-bys are leading causes of injuries in the industries IHSA serves. One workplace fatality in any year is one too many, regardless of the sector, industry, or occupation. Please pause all work for a safety moment and re-establish a commitment to the prevention of injuries, illnesses, and fatalities.
