IT'S NOT TOO LATE TO

MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD

Call to Action! May is the month that the City of San José solidifies the 2022/2023 budget. It's not too late to contact the Mayor and City Council and urge them to restore San José Public Library funding to pre-pandemic levels. Tell them that it is critical for you, your family, and our community to have access to library resources every day of the week.

On April 28, City Librarian, Jill Bourne, Mayor Sam Liccardo, donors, and students joined us at the Mexican Heritage Plaza to celebrate SJ Aspires.

The San José Public Library Foundation is proud to support SJ Aspires, a program of the San José Public Library that provides first-generation-to-college students with financial awards as they complete different tasks connected to college and career readiness.

Since its inception, students participating in this innovative program have earned a total of $334,300 in scholarship dollars to support their post-secondary educational goals.

Thank you to all of our generous donors for making this program possible for San José students.
