We are continuing our partnership with the Baltimore Teachers Union to do a Day of Resistance Monday, August 3, 2020, in Baltimore. We will announce the joint action in Prince George’s when we have a confirmed date. Our students and educators deserve digital equity and access to the internet to be able to learn and teach during this global health pandemic.

PGCPS is Leading the Way on Reopening Plan

The PGCPS plan was formally approved by the Board of Education at the July 30th meeting. The plan is not final and will be updated every Friday as modifications are necessary. PGCEA Board of Directors and Negotiations Team met last week to review a draft MOU. An MOU is a memorandum of understanding or in lay terms, contract amendments. The draft MOU was submitted to the system to address the changes in our working conditions not covered explicitly by our Negotiated Agreement.
