UPDATE ON AB 1038!

Bill to allow hunting bears with dogs stalls in Committee...

A few weeks ago, we asked you to call the members of the Assembly Committee on Water, Parks, and Wildlife and ask that they vote NO on AB 1038, which would have allowed bear hunting with the use of dogs.

Thanks to your calls and the work of many advocates that spoke up to protect bears, the bill did not pass. That's the good news. The bad news is that the bill received "reconsideration," which means it could be brought back up for a vote in January.

We will keep you posted in the new year if there is an indication that the bill will be voted on again.

Thank you again for all of your calls!

Your support is vital to our mission. Your contribution plays a significant role in driving meaningful change and advancing our cause. We are deeply grateful for your ongoing support and together, we can make a lasting impact for the animals who need us most. Thank you for being a part of our community!
